What a Ride!
The 8th Annual Benefit Custom Car & Bike Show was nothing short of extraordinary—and thanks to the unwavering dedication of our Car Show Committee, volunteers, sponsors, and community, we raised a record-breaking $112,000 to support York County Veterans Outreach!
From start to finish, the day was filled with energy, heart, and horsepower. One of the most touching moments was welcoming U.S. Army SGT Howard "Bud" Pressel Jr., a 101-year-old WWII Veteran, as our esteemed Grand Marshal. What an honor it was to celebrate with a true American hero.
Guests enjoyed everything from free coffee and donuts to sno-cones, toe-tapping tunes by JC Fisher Band, and a fantastic mix of silent and live auction items, with our friends at Hess Auctioneers LLC leading the charge.
A heartfelt thank-you goes out to the Church of the Open Door, our generous host, and to our Event Sponsors: The Center for Dental Excellence, Gordon Bell Associates, Gohn & Stambaugh and Pennsylvania American Water
Please show your support by visiting the incredible sponsors listed below—we truly couldn’t do this without them.
Until next year, keep your engines running and your hearts open.
About our 2025 Grand Marshal Howard "Bud" Pressel Jr.
Our 101-year-old 2025 Grand Marshal is a WWII U.S. Army Sergeant Veteran, Howard “Bud” Pressel Jr.
Sergeant Pressel was inducted into the U.S. Army Air Corps on March 6, 1943, and served with distinction as an aerial gunner in the tail turret of a B-24 Liberator, flying missions over Germany with the 15th Air Force during World War II.
On February 7, 1945, during a bombing mission, Bud’s aircraft was shot down. He sustained injuries and was captured by German forces, spending time in a POW camp before being liberated by General George S. Patton’s Army.
For his bravery and sacrifice, Sgt. Pressel was awarded the Prisoner of War Medal. Then, 80 years later, after years of perseverance and recognition efforts, he was formally awarded the Purple Heart on January 29, 2025, for the wounds he sustained in combat.
We are deeply honored to recognize and celebrate this American hero as our Grand Marshal.
